When something in BookYourMat isn't working, you flag it — and then you want to know what happened to it. This article covers where those go and what you can do with them.
Filing a new problem
Use the in-app bug widget. Flagging from inside the app means it arrives with the context of what you were doing, which is usually the difference between a fix this week and a round of "can you tell us more?" emails.
Following up
Everything you have flagged lives on the Issues page, under Reports in the dashboard. It is backed by the product's own issue tracker — the same one the people fixing it work from. So you are looking at the real state of the thing, not a customer-service mirror of it.
From that page you can:
- Review an issue and its current status
- Comment on it — add detail, say what changed, say it is happening again
- Resolve it when it is sorted
- Reopen it when it isn't
Becky can't help with this one
Becky cannot read or change issue status. She will open the Issues page for you and stop there. If she ever tells you an issue was closed or fixed, she is guessing — check the page.
Common questions
I flagged something and nothing seems to have happened. Comment on the existing issue rather than filing a second one. A duplicate splits the conversation across two threads and usually slows things down.
Should I flag a client problem here? This is for problems with BookYourMat itself. Something a client is confused about usually isn't one — start with the relevant help article, and contact support if it isn't covered.
Can my staff flag things too? The in-app bug widget is available in the app, so whoever hits the problem can flag it while it is in front of them. That is better than relaying it through you a day later.
