You can bring your clients, class-pack balances and weekly schedule over from Mindbody by exporting three reports and uploading them. This page says what to export, and just as plainly what will not come with you.
An honest note first: Mindbody does not publish the exact columns of its reports, and menus and report names differ by account and by what your login is allowed to see. We have built the importer from how other software describes Mindbody exports. If a column is not recognised, you pick it from a dropdown. Nothing is written until you have seen a preview.
1. Export from Mindbody
You usually need an owner or manager login. Look under Reports for these, and export each one as a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV):

If a report is huge, export it in pieces. Each file can be up to 4 MB, and uploading pieces one after another is safe.
2. Upload to BookYourMat
Open /dashboard/settings/switch-import (it is not in the menu yet). Do the three files in order: clients, then class packs, then schedule. Packs look up their owner among your clients, so clients must come first.
- Pick the file and choose Mindbody under "Coming from".
- Check the preview. It shows what is new, what already exists, repeated lines, and lines that need a decision.
- Fix any column the page guessed wrong, then press Import.
Uploading the same file again changes nothing, so if you are unsure, run it again.
What comes across
- Clients: name, email, phone, birthday, address, notes, and when they became a client. Someone already in BookYourMat is never overwritten, only blank details are filled in.
- Class packs: each pack arrives as what is left. A 10-pack with 7 left becomes a 7-credit pack. You choose which classes each pack covers.
- Schedule: weekly classes, starting on a go-live date you pick. New classes stay hidden at $0 until you set a price and show them.
- Texting: only turned on for someone whose file says yes. Otherwise it stays off.
What does not come across
- Visit history and past bookings. The reports above do not contain them.
- Memberships and unlimited plans. These are set up in BookYourMat Memberships, and each client adds a card again.
- Payments, revenue and the price paid. Old sales stay out of your BookYourMat numbers.
- Waivers, photos and notes attached to visits.
Nothing is sent to anyone while importing. Clients are not invited or texted because of an import.
If something looks wrong
A line marked "need your eye" is a case we would rather you decided, such as two people sharing an email. Leave it out and carry on; you can fix the file and upload it again later. If the importer cannot read your file at all, send it to us and we can run the import for you.
